Ettore Arcais has completed his full-time training course at The Constructive Teaching Centre ltd (CTC) in London, the world's longest established training course for teachers of the Alexander Technique, under Walter and Dilys Carrington. Walter Carrington trained with F.M. Alexander from 1936 to 1939 and assisted him until his death in 1955.

Ettore taught from 2002 till 2008 at the CTC ltd, where, as well as running his private practise, he was involved full time in the training of teachers and in professional development courses.

Over the last few years, he has run courses, amongst others, at the Office for Standards in Education, The Arts Educational Centre, The London Centre for Theatre Studies, The Richmond Upon Thames College, The Croydon Centre for Young Pianist and the Hochschule für Musik in Wuppertal-Cologne (Germany).

He is a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique (STAT) and of the Alexander Technique Educational (ATE) and is registered RME.

He has translated "Imparando a Dire No" an anthology of Walter Carrington's informal lectures taken from his works "Thinking Aloud" and "The Act of Living". All three books are published by Mornum Time Press.

He was awarded in 1995 a Solisten Diploma in Oboe at the Konservatorium für Musik Bern and played with various orchestras and chamber ensembles, among others the Schleswig Holstein Musik Festival Orchester, the Philarmonie der Nationen and the Bayerische Kammerphilarmonie. He has recorded for the Deutsche Welle - Festival de Kronberg Pablo Casals - and for ZDF, SAT 1, RAI. Awarded with the Bourse aux Jeunes Interprètes RSR he has recorded a récital for oboe and piano with Espace 2.
